Pie Dish
Dimensions: Approximately 7 cm (H) x 22 cm (W)
(Slight variations may occur between pieces, each piece has been photographed individually on this shop.)
This handmade, wheel-thrown pie dish has a satin blue glaze, its intensity varying subtly depending on the firing process. Each piece is reduction-fired for twelve hours in a gas kiln that I built this year.
The faceting technique used is inspired by Steve Sheridan, a master potter based in Australia’s Blue Mountains, with whom I completed an apprenticeship last year.
The dish is food, oven and dishwasher safe, though handwashing is recommended to preserve its finish. It is made with white stoneware clay and a satin blue glaze.
Each piece is unique, celebrating the artistry of handmade ceramics.
