Tea Bowl

£80.00
sold out

Dimensions: Approximately 9 cm (H) x 8.5 cm (W)
(Slight variations may occur between pieces, each piece has been photographed individually on this shop.)

This handmade, wheel-thrown tea bowl has a pale blue glaze, with its intensity varying subtly depending on the firing process. Each piece is reduction-fired for twelve hours in a gas kiln that I built this year. The blue hue originates from natural iron traces present in the London-sourced clay, recovered from a construction site near London Fields.

Shaped with indents and decorated with marks, linear patterns are visible beneath the translucent glaze.

The tea bowl is food and dishwasher safe, though hand washing is recommended to preserve its finish. Made with white stoneware clay and a satin blue glaze, it may develop natural staining over time from drinks like tea or coffee. While durable, the edges can chip if handled roughly, so care is advised.

Each piece is unique, celebrating the artistry of handmade ceramics.
