Table Jug

£40.00
sold out

Dimensions: Approximately 6.5 cm (H) x 10 cm (W) *16 cm with handle
(Slight variations may occur between pieces, each piece has been photographed individually on this shop.)

This handmade, wheel-thrown table jug with a one sided handle is glazed with a satin blue-to-green glazed. The hue’s intensity shifts subtly due to the dynamic effects of the firing process, with the tones arising from naturally occurring iron in the clay used for the glaze. In this case, the clay was sourced from a construction site near London Fields. Every cup is reduction-fired for twelve hours in a gas kiln that I personally designed and built this year.

The table jug is food and dishwasher safe, though hand washing is recommended to preserve its finish. Made with white stoneware clay and a satin glaze, the rim has been pigmented with red iron oxide wash. It may develop natural staining over time from beverages like tea or coffee. While durable, the edges can chip if handled roughly, so care is advised.

Each piece is unique, celebrating the charm of handmade ceramics.
