Small Tea Bowl
Dimensions: Approximately 7 cm (H) x 7.5 cm (W)
(Slight variations may occur between pieces, each piece has been photographed individually on this shop.)
Each piece is reduction-fired for twelve hours in a gas kiln that I built this year.
This handmade, wheel-thrown tea bowl has a pale shino glaze, with red undertones. The variations reflect the firing process and the placement of the piece within the kiln.
The tea bowl is food and dishwasher safe, though hand washing is recommended to preserve its finish. Made with grey stoneware clay and a red shino glaze, it may develop natural staining over time from beverages like tea or coffee. While durable, the edges can chip if handled roughly, so care is advised.
Each piece is unique, celebrating the charm of handmade ceramics.
